Drawing Favicons

This post is a response to a WordAligned article which you’ll probably need to read before this makes sense

So I started with a basic “little chap”, drawn in Google Sketchup…

…which I then shrank-and-blew-up in two different ways.

First of all, I shrank it in Sketchup (I zoomed out, then PrtScn’d), which gave me this…

…which I then blew up in Paint.NET (using nearest-neighbour interpolation) so that you can see the colours of the individual pixels:

Second time round, I shrank in Paint.NET the PrtScn of the big Sketchup model (i.e. the first picture I showed you), which gave me this…

…which I then blew up again, in Paint.NET, to give me this:
